Youth is introduced with modern metal processing and engineering

Liepaja Special Economic Zone (LSEZ) is celebrating its 20 years anniversary and due to this fact, in order to emphasize demand for skilled engineering specialists in the labour market, for five days (from March 6 to 10) TehnoBuss will be visiting Liepaja City.
TehnoBuss is a traveling laboratory, which aims to introduce the young generation with engineering in modern technologies and to arouse interest about metal processing and engineering itself. It is done in attractive and easy way.
Deputy CEO of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone Uldis Hmielevskis points out: “It is important to create interest about metal processing and engineering in schools, which would result in understanding about professions required in manufacturing companies and would be important when the decision about choosing the future path must be done. In nowadays, metal processing and engineering are important fields, which are using state-of-art technologies and providing competitive pay. It is a great opportunity for young people to observe and take part in different kind of processes. Not for nothing the TehnoBuss has a significant inscription – “Find out about modern engineering and metal processing.””
As a result of development of metal processing and engineering companies in Liepaja, in the territory of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone demand for highly qualified specialists is growing.
TehnoBuss visit in Liepaja is organised by LSEZ Authority and Liepaja Board of Education.
Liepaja Special Economic Zone (LSEZ) was established on March 1, 1997 and it will exist until December 31, 2035. LSEZ is a part of the Liepaja City, where entrepreneurs can receive support for making investments and to develop their business faster. LSEZ status companies receive direct tax incentives from from accumulated amount of investments in manufacturing, infrastructure and state-of-the-art technologies. The aim of the LSEZ is to attract investment for expanding of manufacturing and infrastructure, and to create new work places and to ensure the development of the region.
