The Manager of the Marina Kārlis Kints pointed out, that it is somewhat a matter of honor every spring while preparing for the new season, to carefully review the quality of services and compliance with international requirements. "The criteria are strict. If we can fulfill them, then we are ready for the season. The Blue Flag is a proof of the high standards, and it is also appreciated by the yachtsmen visiting Liepaja."
Unofficially, opening of the yachting season is marked by the first yacht to arrive. The 2023 yachting season was opened on April 12, when the 16.43 meter long "Juna II" arrived in Liepaja from the Polish port city of Gdańsk. In total, 25 guest yachts have been serviced this season.
For the third season, the Liepaja Marina has been working in a new format with modern piers and a neat service building. To achieve the goal, the Liepaja SEZ Authority implemented the "Construction of the Marina Infrastructure, Phase 1" project as part of the INTERREG Estonia-Latvia cross-border cooperation program (EST-LAT 55).
Modernization and reconstruction of the Liepaja Marina was a long-awaited and very necessary project, so that the services offered to yachtsmen in Liepaja would not lag behind other Baltic Sea marinas. A video surveillance system has been installed, improving the general level of security in the Marina, and free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the entire territory of the yacht port territory.
