Port of Liepaja Continues Handling Grain Grown by Latvian Farmers
02.09.2026.Liepaja Bulk Terminal - the largest dry bulk terminal at the Port of Liepaja, has signed agreements with the leading Latvian grain exporters, including Baltic Agro, LATRAPS and Linas Agro, for handling grain grown by Latvian farmers from 1 July 2026 to 1 July 2027.

25.08.2026.Continuing a tradition spanning more than 30 years, the Liepāja Special Economic Zone Authority once again collaborated with artists this year to organise the small-scale plein-air event “Jūras elpa” (“Breath of the Sea”). The artworks created during the event will be exhibited at the Ludviķis Art Salon from 28 August to 10 October as part of an art competition and exhibition, where visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite artwork.

20.08.2026.The regular meeting of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone (Liepaja SEZ) Board was held on 19 August this year, at which seven decisions were adopted. These concerned conclusion of an investment agreement, pre-emption rights and approval of auction results. The Board also reviewed and decided to conclude an agreement on the implementation of the reconstruction project for Berth No. 46 and supported participation in the project “Science-Based Solutions for Promoting Climate-Resilient Adaptation of the Baltic Sea Coast.” In addition, the Board amended previously adopted decisions concerning security services and digitalization processes for data processing and analysis.
