The purpose of the project:

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to carry out improvement works of the infrastructure necessary for fishermen in the section of the Old Port from Uliha Street to Celtnieku Street

Total cost of the project:

EUR 774,672.22, of which EUR 645,000.00 has been raised from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund Action Program for Fisheries Development 2014-2020. within the framework of the event "Fishing Ports and Landing Places".

The section of the street from Uliha Street to Celtnieku Street ensures the movement of transport and equipment of fishermen and their customers from the city or the piers located in the territory of SEZ AS "Kursa" to the unloading/loading area of ​​fishing products (Muitas Street and Kuginieku Street) and further to the access roads of the port. Thus, the direction of traffic in a circle is ensured, bypassing the adjacent blocks of apartment buildings, which improves traffic safety and the quality of life of residents.
