02.12.2024.The Riga Technical University (RTU) is ready to invest its know-how and experience in partnership with the Liepaja City Council and the Liepaja SEZ Authority to strengthen Liepaja's industrial potential and to prepare specialists who are capable of generating innovations, for the development of the city and the entire region. The capacity to cooperate was discussed at the meeting of the RTU Council, which took place on November 28 in Liepaja.

22.11.2024.The European Hydrogen Week in Brussels has ended. The Liepaja SEZ CEO Uldis Hmieļevskis participated in the event, to discuss the development projects planned in the Liepaja SEZ territory with cooperation partners, related to the use of renewable resources in hydrogen production and its further use in CO2 processing, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production and, in the future - creation of a hydrogen-powered aircraft production plant. The aforementioned projects taken together will further on be referred to as the Liepaja Sustainable Industry Hub.

"Elaboration of the technical-economic assessment for the development of the historically polluted sediment deposit site of the Karosta Canal of the Port of Liepaja", which was a logical continuation of the remediation works carried out so far.
