The Liepaja SEZ Authority initially consolidated all the properties located on the site of the former steelworks, worked together with the municipality to develop a detailed local planning document for the area, and constructed the first roads with the necessary utility infrastructure. The disposal of properties through auctions is the next step in involving businesses in the regeneration and transformation of the industrial area, offering them the opportunity to acquire existing production buildings together with land and renovate and redevelop them in line with the requirements of a modern green economy business environment.

The Liepaja Industrial Park is located within the territory of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone. It is a location for modern manufacturing facilities, science and research, logistics centers and the development of energy-intensive projects. The approximately 120-hectare development area has been divided into individual plots offering development opportunities and access to utility infrastructure.

The Liepaja Industrial Park is being developed by the Liepaja SEZ Authority and the Liepaja Municipality. The park borders Lake Liepaja, a specially protected nature area included in the NATURA 2000 network. According to the approved development strategy, the aim is to attract more than EUR 275 million in private investment and create at least 1,500 new jobs.

Sustainability is embedded in the “genetic code” of the Liepaja Industrial Park, with education, innovation and circular economy principles clearly established as its foundations.
