Caljan LSEZ SIA Doubles Production Volumes and Expands Its Team in Liepaja
As global demand for advanced cargo-handling technologies continues to rise and the e-commerce market maintains steady growth, conveyor and automation equipment manufacturer Caljan has doubled its production output. Alongside business expansion, the company is growing its team and seeking specialists of various levels in production, engineering, and quality assurance.
Such market dynamics surely increase demand for Caljan’s equipment. The Caljan products are chosen both by new customers and long-term strategic partners—ranging from parcel carriers and postal operators to warehouse and retail logistics companies. Growth is visible across Europe and in the United States, where the market has rebounded after several months of tariff-related uncertainty and is now demonstrating strong performance.
The Liepaja facility is Caljan Group’s largest production and engineering center worldwide, covering a full product life cycle. Work begins with engineering development and detailed technical drawings and schematics for each individually designed machine, and continues through metalworking, welding, assembly, testing, and integration of the equipment into customer systems. Nearly 100 new positions have been created this year, and the Liepaja team has grown by 29% since January.
“Each week in Liepaja, we produce twice as many telescopic conveyors as we did at the start of the year. We maintain such a pace by following one key principle—ensuring reliability, safety, and durability in every machine. This can only be achieved by a team working with confidence and professional precision. It is thanks to the work of our specialists that Caljan has strengthened its position as a global market leader, manufacturing long-lasting equipment that is delivered to customers around the world,” says Gatis Dradeika, Caljan’s Managing Director in Latvia.
Open Positions at Caljan’s Production Facility
With order volumes rising rapidly, Caljan has created several new roles and is now inviting specialists to join its production, engineering, and quality assurance teams. The company is seeking electrical assemblers, assembly technicians, welders, painters, and warehouse staff. Vacancies are also available for mechanical engineers, quality engineers, and quality managers. In total, Caljan currently has around 30 open positions in Liepaja.
“In the coming years, the e-commerce market is expected to see a stable average annual growth rate of around 6%. This means that the current surge in activity is not a short-term spike in demand, and we view the increasing workload as a stable part of the industry’s long-term development,” notes Gatis Dradeika.
Caljan provides employees with a modern, safe, and clean working environment, competitive and fair salaries, free lunch, health and accident insurance, and other benefits.
