SEB banka has granted 2 million euros to the Liepaja Special Economic Zone joint stock company ''Norplast Piemare'' to finance construction of a new 2000 m2 large production plant in the Port of Liepaja, which will deal with manufacturing of oversized composite products for fish-farming and oil-producing industry for further export to Norway.

On July 22, LSEZ SIA Dan Store grain terminal accepted the first wheat load grown and threshed in Latvia as an affirmation that the new cereal season has begun.

On 11 July, as part of the Days of German-Latvian Ports, a quadripartite Letter of Intent was signed by Pia Steinrücke, the Lübeck Senator for Economic and Social Affairs, Gunārs Ansiņš, Mayor of the City of Liepaja, Sebastian Jürgens, Managing Director (Spokesman), Lübecker Hafen and Uldis Hmieļevskis, CEO of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone.

On Wednesday, June 26, a time capsule with a message for future generations was embedded in the foundation of the new production plant of LSEZ AS Norplast Piemare - an EnTEC Group company with Norwegian capital. The Liepaja Special Economic Zone Joint Stock Company "Norplast Piemare" specializes in the production of large composite products for the oil extraction industry and in the production, installation and shipment of floating closed fish cage systems from its own terminal in the Port of Liepaja.

On June 18, 2024, the regular Liepaja Special Economic Zone (Liepaja SEZ) Board Meeting took place, where certain agenda items were considered and decisions made, as well as reviewed the informational reports on the Liepaja SEZ operations and planned development projects.

On June 19, the "Golden Field Factory LV" company protein production facility, was solemnly opened in the Karosta Industrial Park. With the establishment of the "Golden Field Factory LV" production facility, the agri-food staff industry has returned to Liepaja and the first ever investments from the United Arab Emirates and the United States have arrived in Liepaja in the amount of 16 million euros.
