On June 25, a ship of an innovative design under the name WAALVLIET arrived at the Port of Liepaja. WAALVLIET (IMO 9996874) is a Dry bulk/Mini bulker built in 2025 and is sailing under the Dutch flag. She has an overall length (LOA) of 88 meters and a width (beam) of 13 meters. Her summer deadweight capacity is 3,800 tons.

Here is a new Clarification Regarding the Published Announcement on the Written Auction for the Lease Rights of the Real Estate (Wastewater Treatment Plant) Under the Management of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority: Amendments have been made to the draft lease agreement for the lease rights of the wastewater treatment plant at the Port of Liepaja in the following Sections: 2.2.20; 4.8; 4.8.4; 4.8.6; 4.8.7; 4.8.8; and 4.8.9.
