Civil defense and disaster management training is taking place in the Port of Liepaja

On October 29, the local-level practical civil defense and disaster management training took place at Berth No. 28 of LSEZ SIA “GI Terminal” company. The purpose of the training was to check and improve the established procedures and measures defined in the company's civil defense plan, as well as in the off-site civil defense plan.

The training scenario assumed that there was a spillage of a substance at the berth while loading a tanker.

Officials and employees from LSEZ SIA "GI Terminal", the State Fire and Rescue Service, the Liepaja Municipal Police, the State Environmental Service, the Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority and the JSC “Latvian Railway” participated in the training process.
