Decisions taken by the Liepaja SEZ Board
On the implementation of investment projects
The Board of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone reviewed and supported two investment projects of the Liepaja SEZ capital companies for the total amount of 1.68 million EUR:
- The Liepaja Special Economic Zone capital company "DG Termināls" is planning to implement their investment project "Increasing the Energy Efficiency of the 13 th Shore Tank" in the period from March 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025 for the total amount of EUR 79,605.00.
- The Liepaja Special Economic Zone capital company "Caljan" is intending to implement their investment project "Automated Metal Product Warehouse" in the period from March 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 for the total amount of EUR 1,600,000. In 2023, the Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority has concluded 15 investment contracts with the Liepaja SEZ capital companies, the total amount of planned investments: EUR 5,481,903.28, whereas in January 2024, the Liepaja SEZ Board supported three investment projects for the total amount of EUR 2,710 EUR 053.47.
On the conclusion of a long-term land lease right agreement
The Board of the Liepāja Special Economic Zone reviewed and decided to enter into a contract for the lease of the real estate at Muitas Street 2, for the period of 20 years - for the management and maintenance of the real estate belonging to the lessee.
On consent to mortgaging construction rights
The Board of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone reviewed and supported the request of the Liepaja SEZ capital company "Norplast Piemare" to agree to the pledging of the granted building rights as security for the fulfillment of the loan obligations, in compliance with the provisions of the concluded agreement on granting the building rights "Norplast Piemare" is attracting financial resources for implementing their development project - "Construction of a Production Building at Atslēdznieku Street 37, Liepaja".
On consent to the extension of the sublease agreement
The Board of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone reviewed and approved the request of the capital company of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone "Transit Service" SIA to extend the sublease agreement with UAB "Baltic Cape Silo" for the real estate at Brīvostas Street 8, on the strength of the terms, specified in the lease agreement between the Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority and LSEZ "Transit Service" SIA for the real estate at Brīvostas Street 8.
On the right of first refusal
The Board of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone reviewed and decided to waive the right of first refusal on the real estate at Spīķeru Street 15, Liepaja.
