On the Liepaja SEZ company status
The Liepaja SEZ Board reviewed the documents submitted by Crimppi SIA company and the application for granting the Liepaja SEZ company status and approved it. Crimppi is Finland`s leading manufacturer of installations and electronic components, which has decided to run their business in Liepaja, in the territory of LSEZ SIA VOBP Business Park already this spring.
On the implementation of investment projects
The Liepaja SEZ Board reviewed and approved three investment projects of the Liepaja SEZ companies for the total amount of EUR 2,710,053.47:
- the Liepaja SEZ company Crimppi SIA is planning to implement their investment project for the establishment of a manufacturing plant in Liepaja, with the deadline of December 31, 2026. As part of the said project, the company is determined to purchase technologies equipment for the total amount of EUR 222,208.94.
- the Liepaja SEZ company "Baltic Biofuel Company" SIA is planning to implement their investment project “Open Type Canopy” by December 31, 2024 for the total amount of EUR 37,844.53.
- the Liepaja SEZ Joint Stock Company “Norplast Piemare” is planning to implement their investment project "Construction of a Manufacturing Facility at 37 Atslēdznieku Street, Liepaja” in the territory of the Port of Liepaja by December 31, 2025. The amount of the investment project accounts for EUR 2,450,000.00.
In 2023, the Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority concluded 15 investment agreements with the Liepaja SEZ companies, the total planned investment amount of which is EUR 5,481,903.28.
On agreement on conducting commercial activity
The Liepaja SEZ Board reviewed and approved the plan submitted by the Liepaja SEZ SIA “GF Powdercoating” company for the next three years for conducting commercial activities in the territory of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone. The plan contains data on the planned net turnover of the company, the number of jobs and the average salary in the company from 2024 up until 2026.
