The decisions taken by the Liepaja SEZ Board on May 27

On May 27, 2024, the regular Liepaja Special Economic Zone (Liepaja SEZ) Board meeting was held, where 11 issues of the agenda were considered, four decisions were adopted, and informational reports on the operation of the Liepaja SEZ and planned development projects were also reviewed.

On conclusion of an investment agreement
The Liepaja SEZ Board reviewed and supported the implementation of the investment project “Purchase of packaging equipment" of the company ”AE Partner" LSEZ SIA. The project is planned to be implemented in the period from June 1, 2024 to July 31, 2024 for the total amount of EUR 9,765.00.

On conclusion of the novation agreement
On June 17, 2006, a lease agreement was concluded between the Liepaja SEZ Authority and the Limited Liability Company “Amserv Krasta” for the real estate by the address 146B Brīvības Street, Liepaja. The purpose of the lease agreement - construction of a car showroom, as well as performance of other commercial activities. The validity term of the lease - July 16, 2031. After examining the application of the company “Liepaja Property” SIA, the Liepaja SEZ Authority decided to novate the lease agreement by updating the Lessee's name to “Liepaja Property” SIA, thus eliminating inconsistencies in the lease agreement and the Land Register data.

On making amendments to the contract on granting building rights
On May 14, 2018, an agreement was concluded between the Liepaja SEZ Authority and the Liepaja Special Economic Zone “BaltEx Bulk” SIA company on granting of building rights in the territory of the Port of Liepaja by the address at 11 Pulvera Street. The building right has been granted for implementation of the construction project “Warehouse - 1”. The term of the contract shall be June 1, 2038. After reviewing the received application, the Liepaja SEZ Board resolved to support the Liepaja Special Economic Zone “BaltEx Bulk” SIA company to increase the cargo storage area.

On tugboat services
The Liepaja SEZ board reviewed the submitted documents and resolved to conclude a contract with UAB “Mabrocona" for provision of tugboat services in the Port of Liepaja.
