Stevedoring companies of the Port of Liepaja - cargo turnover in the past nine months of this year

In the past nine months of the current year, the stevedoring companies of the Port of Liepaja handled 5,2 million tons of various cargoes, which results in a positive balance (+1.12%) as compared with the relevant time period of the last year.

Thus, the bulk cargo segment has reached the amount of 3.3 million tons of cargoes (64% of the total turnover – mainly grain and other agricultural bulk cargoes, as well as wood chips, cement etc.). LSEZ SIA “Liepaja Bulk Terminal” and LSEZ SIA “Ekers Stividors LP”, LSEZ SIA “Dan Store” and “Baltic Transshipment Center” SIA LSEZ are the biggest bulk cargo handling companies in the Port of Liepaja.

The volume of general cargoes in the specified time period of this year accounts for 1.7 million tons – an increase of 16.5% as compared to the nine months of the previous year.
