Topping-Out Ceremony Held for Stevedoring Company “Mols L”’ New Warehouse
Stevedoring company “Mols L” is constructing a new approximately 5,000-square-metre warehouse at the Port of Liepaja, significantly expanding its storage capacity. The total investment amounts to approximately EUR 1.55 million.
The new warehouse will be able to store around 20,000 tons of cargo, including agricultural products and wood pellets. As a result, Mols L’ covered storage capacity will increase to 60,000 tons. By comparison, up to 2015, the total warehouse capacity of Mols L was just 9,000 tons.
The warehouse is being constructed by SIA “AJ Meistars”, while the steel roof structures were supplied by Swedish-owned company “Borga”.
Construction of the warehouse began last autumn, and the facility is scheduled to be commissioned in September, when the grain-transshipment season via the port begins.
