Far-reaching plans to build a renewable energy complex with a terminal in the Port of Liepaja
09.04.2024.In order to create further added value to the wind farm energy, Norwegian, Swedish, and Latvian companies have established a joint project management team SIA "CIS Liepaja", to conduct the necessary research and to build a renewable energy complex "Power to X terminal in the Port of Liepaja", including a hydrogen production plant and the port terminal by 2030.

(Van Oord) plans to create a world-class offshore wind farm support base and an oversized cargo terminal in the Port of Liepaja. The aforementioned project is stipulated by the reservation agreement, as concluded between Van Oord and the Liepaja Special Economic Zone (Liepaja SEZ) Authority.
