11.07.2024.On 11 July, as part of the Days of German-Latvian Ports, a quadripartite Letter of Intent was signed by Pia Steinrücke, the Lübeck Senator for Economic and Social Affairs, Gunārs Ansiņš, Mayor of the City of Liepaja, Sebastian Jürgens, Managing Director (Spokesman), Lübecker Hafen and Uldis Hmieļevskis, CEO of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone.

The Liepaja Special Economic Zone Joint Stock Company "Norplast Piemare" specializes in the production of large composite products for the oil extraction industry and in the production, installation and shipment of floating closed fish cage systems from its own terminal in the Port of Liepaja.

14.06.2024.On June 12 and 13, with the support of the Liepaja SEZ Authority and the Harbor Master’s Office of the Port of Liepaja, the Latvian company “Aerones” completed testing a special robotic device designed to control the grounding of wind generators on the water prior to delivery to the North Sea.

12.06.2024.LSEZ SIA "Dan Store Latvia" is one of the first companies in the Port of Liepaja after withdrawal of the Soviet Navy. With the establishment of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone, it transformed from just a cargo owner into a port terminal with large warehouse facilities and is now one of the largest dry bulk handling and storage terminals in the Port of Liepaja. In 2023, the company was operating with 6.7 million EUR turnover.
