In several companies, average gross monthly salary is below the average gross monthly salary in the city. This situation can be explained, because companies employ part-time workers for jobs, where special qualification is not required or by employing people, who are not interested in full-time job opportunities. It helps many unemployed people to get minimal salary.
Manufacturing, the port, comprehensive railway network and the international airport are the cornerstounes of Liepaja`s industrial development.
